The lovely folks at The Old Globe theatre in San Diego are featuring a song from The Loneliest Girl in the World in their Working Women Salon on Monday 10/30 @ 7pm. Wish I was still on the West Coast to see the event!
Last week Gordon and I had the most wonderful time doing a workshop of The Loneliest Girl in the World at Diversionary Theatre in San Diego. We were bowled over by the talent and kindness of the actors, designers and theatre board members we met there. And, not to bury the lede, but we found out that our spring production will have a culinary sponsor... and that this sponsor is a pie shop!
Amy, Sara, and my elevator hearts were bursting with pride after Saturday's reading our our show, Elevator Heart, at The Tank. The reading was directed by Dev Bondarin and music directed by Rich Silverstein, starring Sherz Aletaha, Ally Bonino, Joanna Carpenter, Lizette Cruz, Latoya Edwards, Ellen Condon Macy, Aneesh Sheth and Tatiana Wechsler.
Gordon and I were excited to be on Mia's World, a radio show about all types of music, on Tuesday 9/26. You can catch us chatting about Columbiner culture and teen gymnasts here (just search for the 9/26 episode of Mia's World in the Archived Shows section.) Mia Berman is a delight, and I could not have been happier to combine two of my favorite earthly pleasures -- listening to musicals I wrote and talking.
