So excited to be spending the next two weeks putting together a 45 minute presentation of The Loneliest Girl in the World at NAMT! All the folks at the festival have been wonderfully kind and helpful, and our rehearsal room is a collection of some of our favorite humans, old and new. We've got director Michael Berresse and music director Rich Silverstein at the helm...and we have a cast! We’re so excited to have Sam Heldt and Dana Steingold back as Tommy and Sandra/Mary Ann, respectively, and to have Brynn O’Malley playing Anita, Eric William Morris as Bob, Pearl Sun as Kay, and Robert Ariza as Kyle. Tomorrow we bring in Nikola Tomic and Jeremy Yaddaw to complete the crew as our band.
We're gearing up for two presentations: Thursday, October 27 at 4:50pm and Friday, October 28 at 1:30pm. Both performances will take place at New World Stages’ Stage 3 (on the set of Avenue Q!) There will be a standby line for those not officially registered for the festival, and chances are very good that you’ll be able to see it. And, while you’re at it, check out some of the other shows in the festival! The full schedule is available on the NAMT website. As a little teaser, NAMT is sponsoring a concert, The 46th Minute concert on Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30pm also at New World Stages, featuring cut songs from past and present festival presentations. We'll be sharing a song from The Loneliest Girl In the World and a song from Pregnancy Pact (which we shared at the 2011 festival), to be performed by the wonderful Delaney Amatrudo, Sam Heldt, Brynn O'Malley, Johnny Shea. Tickets for the concert are here. You guys, such an exciting week(s). I only use the word excited three times in the post, but I edited out like ten more. Comments are closed.
